If you donate online to The Canterbury Charity Hospital Trust, we will collect personal information from you, including information about your:

We collect your personal information in order to:

• Record your donation for financial record keeping
• Acknowledge to you personally the financial contribution you make to The Canterbury Charity Hospital Trust
• Inform you about the activities of The Canterbury Charity Hospital Trust

Some information we request from you is optional. However if you choose not to enter your name and email address, we’ll be unable to process online donations from you.

We do not directly collect or retain your credit card information. We use a third party payment provider to carry out credit card transactions for online donations into our account.

The provider is a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider, meaning they adhere to payment card industry standards for security and process over 6 million card transactions per year.

We hold your personal records in a secure format with only authorised persons able to access it. You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. What is HealthOne?

HealthOne is a South Island based secure electronic record that allows registered healthcare providers directly involved in your healthcare, to quickly access information such as your test results, allergies, medications, GP summaries and hospital information. HealthOne adheres to the principles of the Privacy Act 2020 as well as the Rules set out in the Health Information Privacy Code 2020.

Access is only possible via an approved highly secure healthcare information network which is regularly audited and tested. Privacy auditing is used to check that only those directly involved in your care are accessing your information.
