Donating to the Charity Hospital

Your generosity makes our work possible.

Donate online below, or learn about other ways to donate.

It costs over $1 million a year to run the Canterbury Charity Hospital, and we’re almost entirely funded by donations from the community. We’re grateful for every donation, no matter how big or small: every dollar helps someone in the Canterbury region to receive life-changing treatment.

Other ways to donate

Purchase a Sylvester book

Most of our patients have already met Sylvester – he is usually found lying in the sun in the waiting room, or sitting at the front door until some kind person lets him in. Our lazy cat features in two children’s books written by local poet/friend of the hospital, Julie Hutton and featuring wonderful illustrations by Garrick Tremain. All profits go directly to helping us continue our work.
